Lakota offers unique experience, tasty menu

For those coffee addicts out there, finding a good café is imperative to feeling at home in a new place. Lakota Coffee Co., located on Ninth Street just north of campus, is just the place, serving up tons of different roasts, flavors and blends. Not only is the coffee tasty, their selection of tea will make any latte drinker think twice about their choice in beverages. One specialty is the chai shake, which is the perfect blend of sweetness and spice, but other great menu items include a mocha made from Dutch Ghirardelli chocolate and an espresso shake.
Founded in 1992, Lakota boasts 1920 era brick walls and plank floors with local artists’ works displayed. Looking for a new place to study? The café offers a high speed internet connection and comfortable seating for those long study sessions. Throughout Lakota the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans permeates the air. Lakota is an authentic “small batch” roastery and provides an alternative to big coffee chains, and gives patrons pride in helping their local community and economy.
So whether you’re looking for a great place to grab a cup of java on the go or to sit and study, Lakota may be the perfect destination.
